This week of all weeks in the year, you’re looking to unplug a bit more, turn inward, plan for the gloriousness that’s sure to come next year, too.
So I’ll keep my note brief.
I’ve been using two unlikely tools in my business this year for clarity and focus and it seemed most appropriate to share them with you today.
First up is Chilled Cow.
What the what?!?
It’s a YouTube channel with over 2.3 million subscribers, all listening to funky, light beats while getting their work done.
When I need a little something in the background, to help me find my flow, but don’t want full-on radio or podcast playing, I head over to their lofi hiphop radio.
Plus, the animated video that plays with the music is super cute.
And number two is Headspace.
Headspace is a meditation and mindfulness app for your phone. You can use it in your computer browser.
But, I don’t use it to meditate in the traditional, sit on a pillow on the floor and stare at the wall with my legs crossed and count my breaths to clear my mind sense.
I use it the guided audios with a different purpose.
Instead of general meditations, I find it most handy when I have something specific I’d like to achieve, like…
… unwinding after a long, productive day (there’s a bite-sized meditation for that).
… or to boost my creativity (there’s an entire series of meditations for that).
… or to fall asleep (there’s several meditation options for that!).
Bonus, Headspace almost always has a discount available on their subscriptions.
Now, take the next couple of days to chill out and reenergize, plan and organize, refocus and get clear.
