Check Your Work – Let’s Talk Gut Checks in Business

Recently a client was feeling anxious about her opt-in. Several dozen people had visited a particular blog post and no one opted in for her free guide.

She was dismayed.

She didn’t know what to do.

She was letting the wind go completely out of her sails. ALL of her sails.

Because the thing is, sometimes, we don’t know what we don’t know.

But sometimes, we think it needs to so hard, so much harder than it actually is.

We’ve built the mental mountain so high that when we scale it in two or three leaps, we’re certain we must have missed a step.

We tell ourselves that “it shouldn’t be this simple.”

What we really need in those times is a gut check.

I ask for gut checks all the time from my business friends.

Will you review this email to a prospective client?

Can I really just say it like that in the pitch?

Does my new offer make sense to you?

Yes, running a business is hard work.

And when something comes up that isn’t as hard as we’re imaging it, we think we must be missing some vital component. We must have glossed over a hidden rule.

But really, we just need someone to give our work the once-over, check what we’re doing.

What’s the ONE question or issue you want a gut check on?

Share it below and we’ll talk it out.
